IFRDMD staff attends the Inter-Departmental Consultation on Preparation of SEASOFIA 2022

On 6-7 August 2020, IFRDMD, represented by Dr. Dina Muthmainnah, joined the Inter-Departmental Consultation on Preparation of SEASOFIA 2022 through teleconference Google Meet application. The meeting was attended by all departments of SEAFDEC, namely, SEAFDEC Secretariat, Training Department, Aquaculture Department, MFRD, MFRDMD, and IFRDMD. The meeting was opened by Secretary-General, Ms. Malinee Smithrithee.

In the two-day meeting, the contributors of each department provided the suggestion on the draft outlines of SEASOFIA 2022, with the updated situation, issues, and concerns in fisheries and aquaculture of the Southeast Asian region. The members of the meeting agreed on the work plan and inputs from SEAFDEC Secretariat and Departments for the SEASOFIA 2022. After getting the same perception and result in the conclusion and recommendations, the meeting was closed by Deputy Secretary-General, Mr. Akito Sato. (MAL)
