Students of International Relations Study Program internship at SEAFDEC/IFRDMD
From 5 July to 20 August 2024, three students (1 male and two female) of the International Relations Study Program of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Sriwijaya University, interned at SEAFDEC/IFRDMD. This internship aims to increase students’ understanding of SEAFDEC. This intergovernmental autonomous body aims to promote and facilitate joint action among member countries to ensure the sustainability of fisheries and aquaculture in Southeast Asia.
On the last day, the students presented what they learned and conveyed impressions from the internship. The Deputy Chief, supervisors, and senior officers from IFRDMD appreciated their work. It is also hoped that it can be continued for their final project so that they can become graduates and put their knowledge into practice in the international world of work.
After completing the presentation, the students had the opportunity to take a tour of Patra Tani’s Smart Fisheries Village (SVF) with IFRDMD staff.
