SEAFDEC/IFRDMD convenes the 2023 JTF Semi-Annual Meeting

To review the outputs of ongoing activities of the Japanese Trust Fund (JTF) VI Phase 2 projects conducted from January to August 2023, IFRDMD organized the 2023 JTF Semi-Annual Meeting as a half-day Meeting on 15 September 2023 in Palembang, Indonesia. The Meeting was attended by the Deputy Chief of IFRDMD and his staff, as well as the observer from the Bureau of Public Relations and Foreign Cooperation Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Indonesia, Mr. Alza Rendian.
The Meeting was opened by Mr. Tomohito Shimizu, Deputy Chief of IFRDMD, who said that since 2023 is the fourth year of the projects, IFRDMD can optimize the project activity towards significant contributions.
The two projects entitled Management Scheme of Inland Fisheries in the Southeast Asian Region” and “Sustainable Utilization of Anguillid Eel in the Southeast Asia Region” were presented by the leaders. During the discussion, some suggestions, comments, and inputs were given by participants and observer to get better achievement in time from September – December 2023 in preparing the project report at the end of the year.
