SEAFDEC/IFRDMD Attends “Regional Meeting on Way Forward of the Resolution and Plan of Action for ASEAN Region Towards 2020”

Dr. Arif Wibowo , the head of Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC)/ Inland Fishery Resources Development and Management Department (IFRDMD) dan as well  the head of Research Institute for Inland Fisheries and Fisheries Extension (RIIFE) attend invitation “Regional Meeting on Way Forward of the Resolution and Plan of Action for ASEAN Region Towards 2020” in Bangkok, Thailand on 1-2 May 2019 held by SEAFDEC/Secretariat. The Meeting was attended by 20 people consisting of the representatives of member countries and regional SEAFDEC, the partners and sub regional SEAFDEC, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Fisheries and Food (CTI-CFF), and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The purpose of this meeting was to observe the progress and plan action-Resolution and Plan of Action (RES & POA) 2020. In addition, this meeting also discussed and identified priority issues that will enter into the resolution and the action plan after the year of 2020. The achieved results of this meeting were the formulation of  the summary of review implementation of the resolution and the action plan towards 2020; priority issues that will be put in the resolution and the action plan after the year of 2020; process of implementation of action from the relations and coordination in order to strengthen the policy development in  Southeast Asia; as well as the revision of the action plan which has been approved and will be implemented.
