The Chief, Deputy Chief, and ten staff of SEAFDEC/IFRDMD paid a working visit to PT Central Pertiwi Bahari in Tanjung Bintang District, South Lampung Regency, on 15 August 2024. PT Central Pertiwi Bahari operates in the shrimp and fish feed industry. The purpose of this field visit was to understand the production process and the importance of quality control, food safety standards, and regulations governing feed production.
The discussion between the company and IFRDMD was informative and highly engaging. The lively exchange of ideas on the challenges faced by the freshwater fish feed industry, such as raw material availability, product innovation, and adaptation to changing market needs, kept everyone involved. After the discussion, the participants were taken on a tour to see first-hand the production process and controls implemented by the company.
