IFRDMD was inaugurated on 2 September 2014, and this year marks its 10th anniversary as a Department within SEAFDEC.
This milestone is an excellent time to reflect on the collective remarkable achievements and celebrate the successes of team and partners, a testament to our shared dedication and hard work.
It is also a promising year to look to the future – envisioning what we will achieve and how we will continue to grow as a specialist institution of inland fisheries, with your continued support and contributions playing a vital role in our journey.
IFRDMD would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to all those from the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries who have championed the existence of this specialized department of inland fisheries and supported it to reach its 10th year. Also, an immense gratitude to all Member Countries who have supported the establishment of the department and its activities until now.
The deepest gratitude is also extended to the SEAFDEC Secretariat and all departments for their continued support to reach this incredible journey, the Government of Japan for its financial support for JTF and JAIF, as well as our current partners, such as USAID and FAO, for their unwavering commitment and collaboration.
We, IFRDMD and its team member can continue the journey together, step up to be better and make an outstanding contribution to the progress and sustainability of inland fisheries.
